Why Evans / Augusta, Georgia?
Evans is one of the most desirable communities in the Augusta metropolitan area, located in rapidly growing Columbia County. Augusta is Georgia's second-largest metropolitan area and serves as a major regional center for healthcare, education, business, and recreation.
For physicians, the Evans/Augusta area offers a particularly attractive balance: the professional opportunity and medical infrastructure of a larger market combined with the convenience, affordability, and quality of life of a close-knit community. Continued population growth throughout Columbia County and the surrounding region also creates a strong and expanding patient base for specialty care.
Physicians relocating to the area will enjoy:
A rapidly growing and thriving community with continued residential and commercial development
Highly regarded Columbia County public schools, making the area especially attractive for families
Beautiful neighborhoods and diverse housing options, often with significantly more space and value than larger metropolitan markets
A strong and established medical community, supported by major regional health systems, an academic medical center, and a broad network of referring physicians
A growing patient population with increasing demand for convenient, high-quality specialty care
Easy access to outdoor recreation, including the Savannah River, Clarks Hill Lake, parks, trails, boating, fishing, and year-round activities
Excellent golf, dining, shopping, and community amenities, including the international excitement surrounding Augusta's annual Masters Tournament
Convenient access to Atlanta, Savannah, Charleston, and other destinations throughout the Southeast
Shorter commutes and less congestion, allowing physicians to spend more time with family and pursuing interests outside of medicine
An attractive cost of living, providing the opportunity to enjoy a high quality of life without many of the costs associated with larger metropolitan areas
For a dermatologist, Evans offers the opportunity to build a rewarding practice within a growing and well-established medical community while maintaining the lifestyle flexibility that can be difficult to find in larger markets.
Evans/Augusta offers the best of both worlds: meaningful professional opportunity, a growing patient population, and an exceptional place to live, work, and raise a family.
