Overview:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

  • Monitor access prevalence for each center to ensure maximum fistula and graft use; and minimum catheter use.
  • Responsible for communication related to vascular access management Policies and Procedures to each facility vascular access contact across the region.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Specialist on staff and patient training and education needs.
  • Utilize and support staff adoption and use of USRC tools.
  • Review monthly all facility referrals for permanent access placement and outcomes of those referrals with the Area Director/Regional Director.
  • Identify the facilities with higher than expected catheter rates and work closely with Facility Administrator, Medical Director and clinic vascular access contact to create improvement plan.
  • Follow up on all improvement plans monthly to ensure plans are active and implemented. As necessary, visits facilities with catheter rates over region or enterprise outlier goals to ensure plans of correction are in place.
  • Work closely with vascular access center staff to communicate specific needs regarding scheduling, etc. to each facility.
  • Meet with vascular access surgeons quarterly or more frequently as needed.
  • Track access quality measures for each facility and meet regularly with Vascular Access Center.
  • Participate in planning and delivery of patient and staff celebrations.
  • Travel to facilities in assigned region as needed.
  • Actively promotes GUEST customer service standards; develops effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Participates in team concepts and promote a team effort; performs duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.

Qualifications/Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel) required.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the English language and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Minimum one year experience in an administrative position required.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare is preferred.
