Full job description
Title: Utility Foreman
Type: Full time, non-exempt
Location: Job Site
Reports To: Superintendents & Project Managers
Schedule: Monday – Friday, some Saturdays

Responsibilities:
- Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer
- Installs trench boxes as necessary
- Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures
- Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed
- Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job
- Manage quality control and production
- Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner
Qualifications:
- Must be able to communicate directly with clients
- 1 year of experience or more with wet utility
- Must be able to operate large excavators with precision
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Ability to access secured facilities
- High attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
- Employee must be physically fit to perform duties of the job in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling (up to 50 lbs.).
- Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen.
- Other physical requirements include walking, climbing, balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or crawling.
- Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
