Full job description

Our client, a leader in vehicle system development and testing, is seeking a Test Engineer to join their team. As a Test Engineer, you will be part of the Systems Integration and Test team supporting vehicle performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: System Integration and Test Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $88/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

  • Conduct integration testing at HIL Test Bench and vehicle levels to evaluate system performance under various conditions.
  • Analyze data to identify potential risks and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements, including controls and diagnostics monitoring.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes and results using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Drive issue resolution for complex system integration problems encountered during vehicle testing and fleet operations.

What's Needed?

  • BS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in vehicle system development and testing roles.
  • Experience with vehicle electrical architecture and automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Proficiency with instrumentation and data acquisition tools like Vector CanAlyzer, ETAS INCA, and others.
  • Hands-on electrical troubleshooting skills, including use of DMM, Oscilloscope, and electrical schematics.
