About the Position

TransForce is seeking a CDL A Spotter/Driver to support local operations in Duncan, South Carolina. This position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.

Pay & Schedule

  • Pay: $29 per hour
  • Overtime: Paid after 40 hours
  • Schedule: Friday through Tuesday
  • Start time: 5:00 a.m.
  • Shift length: 10–12 hours

Job Details

  • Route type: Local
  • Weekend assignment: Spotting for four hours on Saturday and four hours on Sunday
  • Remaining scheduled shifts: Driving
  • Equipment: CDL A equipment and yard-switching equipment
  • Handling: No-touch freight

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL A equipment on local routes and in the yard
  • Perform yard-switching and spotting duties
  • Transport equipment in accordance with DOT and safety standards
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams
  • Meet the physical demands of the role

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
  • Recent yard-switching experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
  • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
