Dental Administrator – Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, NY
Midtown Dental Group (MDG)
Full-Time | Starting at $60,000/year, based on experience

Midtown Dental Group is looking for a warm, personable, and experienced Dental Administrator to join our Cobble Hill team.

We’re looking for someone who understands that the patient experience starts at the front desk. The ideal candidate is professional and confident while still being warm, approachable, and genuinely caring. You should enjoy building relationships with patients, communicating clearly, and helping create a positive experience from the moment a patient walks through the door.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome patients and create a warm, professional first impression
  • Check patients in and out and maintain accurate patient information
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
  • Monitor the daily schedule, fill cancellations, and help maintain productive provider schedules
  • Verify dental insurance benefits and explain coverage to patients
  • Review patient balances and confidently discuss financial responsibilities
  • Present treatment plans and explain treatment costs and payment options
  • Follow up with patients regarding outstanding treatment and financial balances
  • Handle insurance claims and follow up on outstanding insurance payments
  • Collect patient payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Communicate with patients by phone, text, and email in a friendly and professional manner
  • Work closely with doctors, hygienists, and dental assistants to provide an excellent patient experience
  • Help improve reappointment, scheduling, and treatment acceptance
  • Support the team and help wherever needed

Experience & Qualifications

  • Dental office experience required
  • 3+ years of dental administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in a busy, multi-provider dental practice
  • Strong understanding of dental insurance and PPO plans
  • Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing patient financials
  • Experience with Dentrix Ascend strongly preferred
  • Experience working in an out-of-network PPO practice is a plus
