Global Master Planner - Reverse Osmosis
DuPont Water Solutions is a global technology leader in water purification and separation technologies. Our Reverse Osmosis business, marketed under the FILMTEC™ brand, serves municipal, industrial, desalination, residential, and specialty water markets worldwide.
We are seeking a highly motivated Global Master Planner for the Reverse Osmosis Business within DuPont Water Solutions to lead global supply planning activities across the Reverse Osmosis product portfolio with an enterprise mindset, strong customer focus, and commitment to operational excellence.
Overview
The Global Master Planner is responsible for developing and managing the global supply plan for the Reverse Osmosis business. This individual balances demand, production capacity, inventory investment, and customer service objectives across a multi-site manufacturing network.
The role serves as the primary supply planner for the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and is responsible for translating business priorities into actionable production, inventory, and capacity plans. The successful candidate partners closely with Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Commercial, Finance, and Product Management teams to optimize supply chain performance while supporting growth and profitability objectives.
The position requires strong analytical capability, strategic thinking, communication skills, and the ability to influence decisions across a global organization. Responsibilities align closely with established Master Planner expectations around balancing supply and demand, capacity planning, inventory management, and IBP leadership.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven supply chain professional with strong business acumen, operational discipline, and the ability to collaborate across functions. This individual can influence decisions, lead change, and drive continuous improvement in a complex global manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain rolling 3- to 24-month global supply plans for all Reverse Osmosis product families, balancing demand forecasts, production capacity, inventory investment, customer service requirements, and supply outlooks across planning horizons.
- Determine optimal production placement across the global manufacturing network, including what should be produced, where it should be produced, and when it should be produced.
- Evaluate short-, medium-, and long-term capacity requirements, identify bottlenecks, and recommend investments, debottlenecking opportunities, alternate sourcing strategies, and manufacturing footprint decisions.
- Lead regional Supply Review Meetings and support Executive S&OP / IBP processes by presenting supply capabilities, risks, opportunities, scenarios, constraints, and recommended decisions.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve supply risks, shortages, demand surges, and operational disruptions; develop mitigation plans to protect continuity of supply.
- Drive inventory optimization initiatives while maintaining customer service commitments and supporting working capital objectives.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Customer Service, Product Management, Commercial, and Finance teams to align supply priorities, resource allocation, and business trade-offs.
- Own and maintain planning parameters and master data, including lead times, yields, cycle times, sourcing lanes, minimum order quantities, lot sizes, inventory policies, planning assumptions, and operational constraints.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen planning effectiveness, system capability, analytical tools, and supply chain performance, including SAP, APO, and digital planning improvements.
Success Measures
Success in this role is measured through improvement and sustained performance in OTIF, inventory health, supply plan reliability, capacity utilization, schedule adherence, working capital, lead-time accuracy, and planning process maturity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain planning, manufacturing planning, operations, or scheduling, including planning across multiple manufacturing sites in a global environment.
- Strong knowledge of S&OP / IBP processes.
- Experience with SAP, APO, or advanced planning systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- APICS / ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification, or willingness to complete certification within the first 16 months.
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, specialty materials, or process industries.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience leading supply chain transformation projects.
