Location: Rochester, MI
Pay Rate: $45–$55/hr

About Cruise Transmission & Automotive Repair
Cruise Transmission & Automotive Repair is a family-owned shop serving the Rochester Hills, MI area since 1992. We’re seeking an A-Level / Master Automotive Technician with strong electrical diagnostic and transmission experience. This senior-level role pays $45–$55 per hour with weekly pay and focuses on advanced diagnostics, drivability, electrical troubleshooting, and transmission repair and rebuilding. Join a small, experienced team with opportunities to mentor developing technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting, including complex electrical concerns.
- Diagnose automotive electrical systems and isolate faults using advanced diagnostic techniques.
- Diagnose drivability concerns and determine appropriate repairs.
- Perform transmission repairs, rebuilds, and replacements.
- Apply advanced transmission system repair knowledge to complex jobs.
- Support and mentor less experienced technicians.
- Help maintain efficient workflow in a small-shop environment.
- Occasionally assist with phones or service writing when needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of automotive repair experience.
- A-Level or Master Technician experience with advanced diagnostic capabilities.
- Strong electrical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Extensive transmission repair and rebuilding experience.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
- Comfortable assisting with multiple shop responsibilities when needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- $45–$55 per hour.
- Weekly pay.
- Health plan.
- Paid time off: 40 hours in year one and 80 hours in year two.
- 72 hours of paid sick time.
