Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Assistance in Totowa, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, report observations, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including production-adjacent spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document entries, exits, and unusual observations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant security-related information, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
