Our company is seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to our fast-paced and growing construction industry. The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of our construction projects, from planning to completion. This position is permanent and offers a competitive compensation package, with opportunities for career growth and development.

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

1. Assisting the Project Manager in all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial planning to project closeout.
2. Coordinating with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure that all project requirements are met.
3. Managing RFIs and change orders effectively, ensuring that all changes are documented, communicated, and implemented efficiently.
4. Developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and making necessary adjustments to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
5. Anticipating potential issues and risks, and proactively developing and implementing effective solutions.
6. Participating in project meetings and providing regular updates on project status to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.
7. Ensuring that all project activities comply with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Assistant Project Manager position, you must have:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a project management role.
2. Proven experience in RFI Management, Change Order Management, Scheduling, and Planning.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
4. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
5. Demonstrated decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
6. A strong team player, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
7. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
