Full job description
Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily care for hospitalized pets, including feeding, watering, walking, and monitoring comfort and well-being
- Administering medications as directed by the veterinary team
- Bathing and brushing pets as needed
- Assisting with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Maintaining accurate patient records and communicating observations to the veterinary team
- Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, runs, cages, and treatment areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Assisting veterinarians, technicians, and veterinary assistants with patient handling and restraint
- Supporting diagnostic and treatment procedures, including sample collection, radiographs, and laboratory work when appropriate
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming hospital environment
- Providing compassionate care and attention to every patient throughout their stay
What We're Looking For
- A genuine passion for animal care and welfare
- Dependable, hardworking, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling dogs, cats, and exotic pets of varying sizes and temperaments
- Previous animal care, kennel, boarding, or veterinary experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person
