Full job description

Our client, a leading organization in the biotechnology and veterinary pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Technician to join their team. As a Technician, you will be part of the production support team, contributing to the manufacturing of vital veterinary biological products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a continuous improvement mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Technician

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $20.00 hour Weekly pay (Fridays)

Shift: Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm, with Friday mornings as needed to hit 40 hours

What's the Job?

  • Perform basic warehousing and material handling activities, including unloading trucks, material movements, and order fulfillment
  • Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies
  • Assist in preparing materials for shipping and operate equipment such as pallet jacks
  • Work with dry ice and perform other duties related to production support
  • Support laboratory procedures related to the production of veterinary biologicals, including media preparation and cell culture activities

What's Needed?

  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Familiarity with laboratory or manufacturing procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and good mathematical skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and wear PPE in an aseptic environment
