Full job description

We are seeking a motivated Storeroom Coordinator to join our team at our East Grand Forks factory. The individual will issue purchase orders for less than $2,000, receives, stores, and issues materials, supplies, and chemicals for the East Grand Forks factory in a timely manner. The coordinator facilitates purchases over $2,000 with corporate purchasing.

The principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
  • Complete factory purchases of $2,000 or less; coordinates purchases in excess of $2,000 with Corporate Purchasing staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of plans to ensure established inventory control levels are maintained.
  • Ensure appropriate items are purchased from the Central Warehouse and/or Purchasing Department contracts.
  • Assist M & S Administrator in reviewing inventory levels of critical repair equipment/chemicals to ensure adequate quantities are available.
  • Provide work direction to EGF storeroom staff through the guidance of the Storeroom Supervisor.
  • Research factory information regarding invoices and capital projects, secure approvals, and secure any other information as requested by Corporate Accounts Payable to aid in resolving invoice issues.
  • Track and provide SAP requisition training to all appropriate EGF users.
  • Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) database as well as coordinates chemical approval process.
  • Enters physical inventory counts and post the list of differences.
  • Coordinates pickup of materials by the truck driver.
  • Coordinates stock transport orders from Central Warehouse to the factories.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

This position requires knowledge of purchasing, inventory control and computer systems normally gained through the completion of a two-year associate’s degree in business, management or a related field. Familiarity with factory equipment, operation, maintenance and repair is also important. The incumbent must possess organizational skills and be able to provide clear and concise work direction to employees.

Compensation Range:

$21.47 - $26.84 /hr
