Seeking to hire a dedicated and experienced Facilities Maintenance Instructor in Harrisburg, PA. The instructor will deliver high-quality, hands-on instruction in facility maintenance trades to adult learners, preparing them for careers in high-demand industries. The ideal candidate will combine technical skill, industry experience, demonstrated teaching ability, effective interpersonal skills, patience, and a commitment to workforce development and helping adult learners succeed.

key Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in facility maintenance, including theory and hands-on practice (e.g., HVAC basics, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, safety).
- Develop instructional materials, lab exercises, and assessments aligned with industry standards and student learning outcomes.
- Adapt instruction for adult learners, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and inclusion.
- Monitor and assess student progress; provide feedback, tutoring, and remediation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with at least 4 years working in facilities maintenance or related trades (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry)
- Strong knowledge of safety practices, tools, equipment, and relevant regulations.
- Ability to communicate clearly to a diverse student audience.
- Reliable, organized, good at planning, with the ability to adapt lessons to varying student needs.
- Basic computer skills for recordkeeping, digital tools, learning management, etc.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applicable professional license (s).
- Journeyman and/or post-secondary education.
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience.
- Experience with adults or non-traditional learners
