Job Description:
This job is responsible for oversight activities within the division. Key responsibilities include remediation of risk issues and providing subject matter expertise to division and market leaders on investment risk matters. Job expectations include ensuring Private Bank policies are applied consistently across portfolios, with a significant focus on risk management processes including Reg 9, Asset Allocation Monitoring, Investment Policy Statements, and Daily Monitoring of Security Exceptions.
Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and approve investment oversight exceptions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and governance standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Portfolio Managers, Market Investment Executives, and other stakeholders regarding investment policy interpretation and exception management.
- Respond to inquiries related to investment oversight processes, monitoring results, and governance requirements.
- Facilitate discussions with business partners to develop risk-mitigating solutions while maintaining compliance with applicable standards.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, fiduciary administration, investment risk management, compliance, or related financial services roles.
- Knowledge of investment products, asset allocation principles, portfolio construction, and fiduciary standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field or equivalent financial services/business experience
- Experience within Private Bank, Wealth Management, Trust, or Institutional Investment businesses.
- Knowledge of fiduciary regulations, investment governance practices, and supervisory frameworks.
- Experience working with investment monitoring systems, exception management platforms, or risk reporting tools.
