Work Environment

The work setting is decidedly onsite, tailored for outpatient care focused on orthopedic rehabilitation. You will be part of an innovative team that includes two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. The facility is designed to promote healing and includes well-defined treatment areas equipped for various therapy exercises, manual therapies, and patient engagement activities. Our weekdays run from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations of patients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific goals and needs.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring that each session includes appropriate interventions and progress tracking.
• Employ evidence-based techniques for the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, aiming to improve mobility and overall function.
• Utilize hands-on manual therapy techniques to facilitate healing and alleviate pain.
• Design and implement personalized wellness and fitness programs to foster patient self-management and prevent further injuries.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and professional decisions clearly and accurately using WebPT EMR software.
• Motivate and educate patients on their recovery journey by promoting strength, flexibility, and a healthy lifestyle.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on adult patients recovering from acute and chronic orthopedic conditions. Many of our clients are dealing with post-surgical rehabilitation or have experienced sports-related injuries. Our approach is to facilitate healing while significantly reducing reliance on medications by exploring non-surgical treatment options.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Maryland.
• A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions or board complaints.
• Strong expertise in manual therapy techniques.
• Exceptional skill in developing and executing personalized exercise protocols.
• Proficiency with WebPT EMR software to enhance efficiency in patient documentation and care.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working specifically in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the latest physical therapy practices and trends relevant to orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and educational background.
