- Provides training and supervision for volunteers and maintain positive working relationships with them.
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and interventions. Maintains an organized and clean work environment, including playroom, workspace, and storage areas.
- Other duties as assigned. Provides developmentally appropriate education for patients and their families related to medical procedures, diagnoses, pain management, grief, and bereavement.
- Uses play as a primary resource with patients and siblings to enhance coping, promote mastery and control, and encourage socialization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Entry-level professional competency in child life related skills [Required]
- Ability to learn and advance clinical skills [Required]
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change [Required]
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities [Required]
- Ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner on the phone, in person, and in writing [Required]
Education:
- Bachelor's [Required]
Field of Study:
- In Child Life, Education, Recreation Therapy, Child Development, Psychology or related field
Licenses and Certifications:
- Child Life Specialist Certification (CCLS) [Required]

Pay Range:
$20.97 - $38.99Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
