Full job description
Company in Belmont, MI hiring for Assembly.
Shift: days Mon-Fri 6a-2p
Pay: $20.00/hr.
- Assemble, modify, and rework products, components, and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Interpret and utilize assembly drawings, schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and other technical documentation.
- Perform mechanical and/or electrical assembly using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and specialized equipment.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections to verify product quality and compliance with customer and engineering requirements.
- Identify, document, and communicate product defects, discrepancies, and process issues to supervisors, quality personnel, or engineering teams in a timely manner.
- Accurately complete production records, quality documentation, and other required reports.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to troubleshoot assembly issues and implement effective solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
- Consistently meet established productivity, quality, and delivery expectations.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education. Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment preferred.
