We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Project Manager in Reno, NV to work on High Profile projects. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong background in mechanical project management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen understanding of the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical projects, from initial planning to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. They will also be expected to coordinate with various teams, manage subcontractors and vendors, negotiate contracts, and regularly report to executives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of mechanical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Track and forecast project-level financials, providing regular updates to executives.
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, fabrication shop foremen, VDC/CAD/Detailing personnel, project engineers, and project accountants to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Produce and manage project schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Handle change management, including assembling estimates, budgets, and proposals.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring they deliver quality work on time and within budget.
  • Negotiate contracts to ensure the best terms for the company.
  • Attend project meetings, providing updates and feedback as required.
  • Lead and manage the project team, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging team collaboration.
  • Oversee budgeting and contract management to ensure financial efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical project management within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in coordinating with various teams, managing subcontractors and vendors, and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a keen understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and contract management.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a proven ability to secure the best terms for the company.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in tracking and forecasting project-level financials.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues before they arise.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
