As a Residential Service Plumber, you’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing systems while helping homeowners understand their options and make informed decisions. What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems.
- Service and install water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, disposals, sump pumps, ejector pumps, and related equipment.
- Repair water lines, drain lines, leaks, valves, and other plumbing components.
- Perform plumbing inspections and identify code, safety, and performance concerns.
- Explain diagnosed problems and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.
- Obtain customer approval before completing work and collect payment when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate service notes, estimates, photos, and follow-up information.
- Communicate parts, scheduling, and return-trip needs promptly to the office.
- Maintain an organized vehicle, tools, materials, and assigned inventory.
- Protect customers’ homes and maintain a clean, professional work area.
- Participate in required meetings, technical training, and professional development.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous residential plumbing service and repair experience.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of residential plumbing systems, fixtures, materials, and applicable codes.
- Ability to independently manage service calls from diagnosis through completion.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to explain technical findings and available options clearly to homeowners.
- Commitment to safe, code-compliant, and high-quality work.
- Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent experience preferred.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and field service software.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to perform physical work in basements, crawl spaces, bathrooms, and outdoor conditions.
