What You ll Do
As a Veterinary Technician Assistant - Discharge , you ll play a critical role in supporting our clinical team by helping patients transition home after hospitalization or treatment. In this hands-on role, you will:
- Assist discharge nurses in appointments and discharge preparations
- Communicate with clients and team members (both verbal and written)
- Prepare patients for discharge, including removal of IV catheters, fitting e-collars, and assisting with loading pets into vehicles
- Support general patient care responsibilities including laundry, husbandry, walking dogs, and cage cleaning
- Assist with diagnostics as needed
- Stock and organize supplies throughout the hospital
- Maintain a clean and organized environment that meets the highest standards of care
- Collaborate with our nursing and support teams across departments
- Provide compassionate communication and support to clients navigating post-hospital care
- Stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and empathy
Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position with the following schedule options:
- Wednesday-Friday 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Monday-Thursday: 10:00AM - 8:00PM
Compensation
- Starting at $19.00/hr
