Packaging Maintenance Technician


This is a hands-on opportunity to join the maintenance team at a reputable consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing company. Requirements & Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred
  • 2 to 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with packaging equipment strongly preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
  • Understanding of food safety and GMP requirements
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams


Preferred Background & Skills


  • Food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing experience
  • Experience with packaging line equipment, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems


Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Perform hands-on repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on packaging and production lines
  • Support changeovers and equipment adjustments during production runs
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize impact on production
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation
  • Coordinate with production and quality teams to align maintenance with production schedules
  • Assist with spare parts inventory tracking and vendor coordination
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide guidance to production staff on basic equipment care and troubleshooting
