Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at our hospital-based facility, you will be working onsite in a well-equipped clinic that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured yet dynamic work schedule. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement therapy plans crafted by licensed physical therapists, focusing on helping patients regain movement and strength.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, employ manual therapy techniques, and utilize neuromuscular reeducation strategies as directed.
  • Document patient treatments accurately in our electronic medical records (EMR) system, capturing responses and progress updates.
  • Educate patients on proper body mechanics, safety techniques, and home exercise regimens to ensure their ongoing recovery.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists and clinic staff to manage patient flow efficiently and enhance overall patient care.
  • Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols and communicating any changes to physicians and families.
  • Assist in managing the clinic’s operational needs, supporting administrative staff as required.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
  • Current and valid New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license is mandatory.
