American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute care role at a Level 1 Trauma center, requiring NICU/PEDs experience and EPIC charting proficiency. Details

Inpatient acute care therapy setting within a ~500 bed Level 1 Trauma center 20-bed inpatient rehab unit with over 50% neuro cases including CVA, TBI, nTBI, and SCI Additional caseload includes LE amputation and multi-trauma patients Approximately 170 patients on the acute OT caseload NICU/PEDs experience required Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Weekend coverage required approximately 1 per month No holiday shifts required No floating requirements EPIC charting experience required Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required Occupational Therapy (OT) license from Illinois required, if applicable BLS certification required EPIC charting experience required Level 1 Trauma center experience required NICU/PEDs experience required Ability to perform patient transfers with assistance from bed, chair, and floor as needed Knowledge of safe body mechanics to reduce risk of injury Additional Information

Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, serving as a clinical resource for staff and students Design individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods Perform examinations and screenings using reliable, evidence-based methods Utilize standardized outcome measures to accurately reflect functional performance Supervise COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory guidelines Collaborate closely with the medical team on patient status, transfer recommendations, and discharge planning Document evaluations and treatment plans in accordance with department and regulatory standards Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
