Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans that support the recovery of patients with mobility issues.
  • Provide hands-on treatment and care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the application of physical modalities.
  • Educate and counsel patients on proper exercise techniques, safety measures, and self-management strategies to promote independence.
  • Continuously assess patient needs and progress, recommending adjustments to treatment modalities as necessary to enhance recovery.
  • Document patient sessions meticulously in medical records, ensuring all information is precise and up to date to support ongoing care.
  • Engage patients with empathy and compassion, recognizing individual differences and tailoring communication to meet their needs.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adapt care plans effectively for optimal outcomes.
  • Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and research to improve methods and patient delivery, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards in all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic pain, and other conditions that impede functional mobility. Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
  • Valid state licensure or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact clearly with patients and team members.
  • Proficient in healthcare documentation and administration processes.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
