Senior Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a critical role within ABT's Finance team, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the organization's financial records. This individual will be responsible for general ledger maintenance, month-end close, grant compliance, and audit support — contributing directly to the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in non-profit accounting, exceptional attention to detail, and the initiative to drive process improvements.This role will report to the Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a non-profit organization.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP, including non-profit accounting standards (ASC 958).
• Proven experience with general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close processes.
• Demonstrated experience with grant accounting and restricted fund management.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
