Lead Cook

Broadway Proper Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Lead Cook to join our team in Tucson, AZ. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, preparing high-quality meals, and ensuring a safe and sanitary cooking environment. This position plays a crucial part in providing our residents with nutritious and delicious meals that meet their dietary needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications and dietary requirements
• Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain quality and efficiency
• Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed in accordance with health regulations
• Maintain inventory and order kitchen supplies as needed
• Collaborate with management to plan menus and accommodate special dietary requests
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs

Requirements

• 1 year previous experience as a lead cook, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
