Job DetailsResponsibilities:
- Draft, proofread, and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and organized client files.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information, provide updates, and assist with case preparation.
- Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
- Assist attorneys in preparing trial binders, exhibits, and settlement documentation.
- Perform basic accounting tasks such as tracking retainers and billing activity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in a law firm or other legal setting; family law experience preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
- Basic understanding of accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
