WSi Healthcare Personnel is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse leader for a direct-hire Director of Nursing position at a Colorado Springs surgery center. Position Overview
The Director of Nursing will oversee the surgery center’s clinical operations, nursing employees, and staff scheduling. The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable, hands-on leader with operating room experience and prior nursing management or director-level experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for the center’s clinical operations
- Supervise, support, and develop clinical employees
- Coordinate staff scheduling based on patient volume and procedural needs
- Promote safe, efficient, and patient-focused care
- Maintain clinical policies, procedures, and staff competencies
- Collaborate with administration, physicians, and clinical team members
- Support regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and survey readiness
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and retaining clinical employees
Qualifications
- Active Colorado RN license or eligibility to obtain one
- Previous operating-room nursing experience required
- Previous experience as a nursing director, clinical manager, OR manager, or similar healthcare leader
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead employees while remaining engaged in day-to-day clinical operations
