Executive Sous Chef

Join an established, high-volume upscale restaurant as part of a strong culinary leadership team.

We’re looking for a hands-on Executive Sous Chef who is comfortable leading a busy kitchen, developing people, and maintaining high standards throughout service. This is a great opportunity for a chef who wants to make an impact on the operation while continuing to grow with an expanding restaurant group.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute high-volume service with consistency
  • Oversee daily BOH operations and kitchen standards
  • Train, coach, and develop Sous Chefs and line-level team members
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and sanitation
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, scheduling, and cost controls
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef on kitchen performance and execution
  • Hold the team accountable to established standards and procedures
  • Help maintain a positive, professional, and team-focused kitchen culture

Requirements

  • 5+ years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume upscale or polished-casual restaurant
  • Executive Sous Chef or strong Senior Sous Chef experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a large culinary team
  • Strong understanding of food cost, labor, inventory, and kitchen operations
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to lead by example
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during high-volume service

Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to maintain consistency during busy service
  • Comfortable working closely with the Executive Chef and restaurant leadership
  • Ability to coach, develop, and hold team members accountable
  • Organized approach to kitchen management
