Chef de Cuisine
Join an established Savannah restaurant as Chef de Cuisine with a clear path to the Executive Chef role.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced culinary leader who is ready to take the next step in their career while enjoying an excellent quality of life. This is a 5-day work week, dinner-only operation, and the restaurant is closed every Sunday and Monday.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations while maintaining high standards for food quality and consistency
- Work closely with the Executive Chef during the transition period
- Prepare for the future Executive Chef role by learning all aspects of the operation
- Train, coach, and develop culinary team members
- Oversee kitchen organization, prep, and service execution
- Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, and waste
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
- Build a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork and accountability
Requirements
- 3+ years of Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef experience
- Upscale-casual or fine dining restaurant experience
- Proven experience leading culinary teams
- Experience managing high-volume kitchen operations
- Strong understanding of food cost, labor, purchasing, and inventory
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Stable work history with demonstrated career progression
Qualifications
- Hands-on leadership style
- Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
