Summary:

Position is responsible for the timely receipt of incoming materials from suppliers and the shipment of goods to outside services and customers. Ensures Operations objectives are met with regard to Safety, efficiency, quality, and cost. Incumbent supports all Apache business objectives through interactions with customers, suppliers, and all associates.

Position responsibilities:

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift, manlift, or crane to pick and ship parts and equipment.
  • Monitors Open / Due Orders Report to ensure on-time order fulfillment of parts orders.
  • Ensures that all Safety and environmental policies and procedures are followed and minimizes risk exposure
  • Completes transactions within “Visual” operating system for all material and goods movements.
  • Maintains stocking levels for shipping materials.
  • Ensures goods are properly packaged, labeled, and secured for safe arrival at destination.
  • Utilizes preferred shipment method and carrier based upon ASEC and / or customer preference.
  • Coordinates outside service requirements with Purchasing and Department responsible for production and processes Work Order routings accordingly.
  • Processes material received into inventory and updates locations either manually or through use of barcoding system.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and well organized fashion.
  • Actively seeks information to further product knowledge and actively participates in training and development opportunities.
  • Other duties as necessary to support the manufacturing process.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Requires the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strong collaborative and accommodation tendencies
  • Ability to interpret complex work center routings
  • Ability to multi-task, managing a wide variety of priorities simultaneously with limited supervision
  • Computer literate, with experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs and ERP (familiarity with Visual Business Solutions a definite plus)
  • Effective written & verbal communication skills are required

Experience/Education:

  • Minimum of High School diploma
  • Associate degree or post high school education desirable
  • Several years of experience with forklift operation, inventory control, and capital goods manufacturing required
