PT /PTA- Physical Therapy

Certifications: Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Physical Therapy Assistant (Required), Work Experience: Follows established procedures in the application of physical modalities such as hot packs, ultrasound, ice packs, massage, electrical muscle stimulation, and traction.Instructs patients in the proper use of such assistive devices as wheelchairs, canes, braces, or prosthetic devices.Reports changes in the patient's condition and response to therapy interventions, then, appropriately suggest treatment changes to the Licensed Physical Therapist(PT).Documents physical therapy treatment provided, including patient response to treatment.Educates family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.Completes therapeutic modalities, as appropriate, including ultrasound, iontophoresis, and electrical muscle stimulation. Completes daily documentation and charging in Therapy EMR. Coordinates and collaborates with the PT on patient treatment interventions.
