American Traveler is hiring an Outpatient Occupational Therapist with a Lymphedema Certification in-hand and 1+ year experience for a hospital-based outpatient lymphedema program. Details
Hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation department with a dedicated lymphedema patient population Collaborate regularly with OTs/OTAs, PTs/PTAs, SLPs, wound care clinic staff, compression fitters, and lymphedema vendors Treat a diverse patient population from young/middle adults to geriatrics with a mix of diagnoses, including lymphedema care Patient ratio of approximately 1:5 Day shift scheduled as 4x10s (7:30-18:00), with 5x8s also available and flexible scheduling options No weekend shifts required No call requirements May float within facility and scope of practice to the acute care inpatient facility as needed Epic EMR experience required Requirements
Lymphedema Certification required in-hand at time of submission GA Occupational Therapy license required (license required if applicable; OK to pend at submission) NBCOT certification required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of experience required Community hospital experience preferred Epic charting experience required First-time travelers accepted Additional Information
Provide occupational therapy services including assessment, evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, and discharge planning Perform lymphedema management, splinting (static, dynamic, and functional), and manual therapy techniques Support patient populations with orthopedic conditions, amputee care, arthritis, Parkinson's disease, and other progressive neurological disorders Conduct patient/family education and safety/injury prevention training Perform lifting and transfer duties as part of patient care Work as part of an interdisciplinary care team alongside wound care and lymphedema specialists Maximum 7 days of RTO permitted per contract, with all RTO finalized at time of submission If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, coverage is expected with no holiday RTO permitted If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Local candidates accepted at the same rate Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week delay due to biweekly orientation scheduling
