American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and Epic proficiency. Details

Setting: Short Term Acute Care hospital with 379 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation Unit: PT Acute Care Hospital Patient ratio: 1:1 Schedule: Day shift, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Weekend rotation required alongside full-time therapy staff No floating between units required No on-call requirements Epic EMR experience required Requirements

Minimum 1 year of acute care physical therapy experience required BLS certification required Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable) Epic charting system experience required Experience with orthopedic conditions including post-op spinal, shoulder, and cervical surgeries, total hip/knee replacements, and hip fractures preferred Experience with neurologic conditions including stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and cognitive disorders preferred Skilled in gait training, body mechanics, home exercise programs, and patient/family education Experience with equipment including gait belts, sliding boards, hospital/specialty beds, bed alarms, and call lights preferred Outpatient clinic, rehabilitation hospital, and skilled nursing facility experience preferred Additional Information

Main responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, and discharge planning within an acute care setting Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated Candidates should be flexible in scheduling, as inflexibility may affect contract continuation Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting Full SSN and DOB required for submission Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate Local radius rule of 50 miles applies Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility First-time travelers may be considered for this position
