Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a talented Change Order Analyst to join our team! In this role you will support the clients contractual change order process by evaluating entitlement, commercial reasonableness, and cost/schedule impacts of EPC Contract or CMA changes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee and coordinate the change order management process for selected projects.
- Administer change management procedures for EPC Contract or CMA changes and evaluate change requests for scope, schedule, budget, earned value, and KPI impacts.
- Review change orders submitted by the EPC Contractor or Construction Manager and assess entitlement and commercial reasonableness before presenting recommendations to the client.
- Implement a formal change order evaluation protocol for each received change order.
- Independently verify contractual entitlement to the claimed change based on the applicable EPC Contract or CMA.
- Validate proposed cost impacts using appropriate project controls and cost resources and validate proposed schedule impacts using appropriate schedule resources.
- Prepare written recommendations with supporting documentation for the applicable Project Director of Construction.
- Support the client in ensuring that change orders are properly documented, approved, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, business, or related field, or equivalent and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience evaluating construction change orders and commercial impacts on large projects.
- Strong understanding of contract entitlement, cost review, and schedule impact assessment.
- Ability to work closely with project controls, schedulers, legal, and commercial teams.
- Strong analytical writing and negotiation support skills.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
- Experience on EPC and/or CMA projects.
- Familiarity with claims avoidance, dispute documentation, and trend analysis.
- Experience supporting owner-side commercial teams.
