Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Emergency Medicine (ER)
Job Type: Full-time | Variable 12-hour shifts and rotate every other weekend and major holidays

Up to $10,000 bonus for eligible candidates

Our Emergency Department is a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center where teamwork, critical thinking, and high-acuity patient care come together to make a meaningful impact every day. Nurses are supported 24/7 by experienced on-shift leadership and work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team that includes emergency service technicians, surgical technologists, unit clerks, pharmacists, social workers, transport staff, and an exceptional group of attending physicians and advanced practice providers.

How you'll contribute

A Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) who excels in this role:

  • Works closely with all emergency services staff
  • Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and visitors
  • Performs aseptic surgical techniques while functioning as a surgical assistant for trauma alerts/procedures
  • Responsible for the proper collection of most specimens used in laboratory analysis within the scope of their knowledge and experience (Phlebotomy, POC testing)
  • Performs point of care testing, and follows appropriate quality control procedures
  • Assists with the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as appropriate including the transporting of patients throughout the facility

What we're looking for
Applicants should have a possess a high school diploma, and be graduate of a surgical technologist program. Additional requirements include:

  • National Certification or if was employed to practice surgical technology as the primary function in another health care facility during the 2 years immediately preceding December 28, 2020 thirty (30) hours of continuing education every 2 years.

  • One year of experience preferred
