Full job description
VHC Health is seeking an extraordinary psychiatrist dedicated to collaborative, patient- centered care to join our well-respected medical group in Arlington, VA. This role focuses on delivering world-class, evidence-based care to adult patients on an inpatient setting, with opportunities to collaborate on continuous improvement and clinical leadership initiatives.
We are seeking a psychiatrist with a desire for professional growth, a commitment to clinical excellence, and an interpersonal style that supports multidisciplinary collaboration and helping others to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients in an inpatient setting
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and coordination of care
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, social work, case management, and therapy staff
Participate in patient and family education to support treatment goals and continuity of care
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold standards for patient safety and clinical excellence
Support program development and participate in efforts to enhance behavioral health services
Demonstrate leadership potential through mentorship, collaboration, and participation in department initiatives, with the opportunity to advance into a Lead Physician role
Qualifications
* MD or DO from an accredited institution
* Completion of an accredited General Adult Psychiatry Residency
* Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
* Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia
* Prior inpatient experience strongly preferred
* Demonstrated interest in leadership or program development is highly desirable
* Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems preferred

Compensation

Compensation Range: $250,000.00 - $552,240.00 annually
