Job Details
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, S-Corporation, C-Corporation, trust, and nonprofit tax returns.
Perform tax planning and tax research for a variety of clients.
Work directly with business owners and individuals to provide proactive tax guidance.
Analyze financial statements and supporting documentation for tax compliance.
Assist clients with tax notices, audits, and information requests.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies.
Review bookkeeping and accounting records to ensure tax accuracy.
Mentor and support junior staff accountants.
Stay current with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Participate in client meetings and provide advisory recommendations.
Qualifications Needed:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
CPA license or CPA candidate strongly preferred
Minimum 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
Experience preparing and reviewing Individual (1040), Partnership (1065), S-Corporation (1120S), and Corporate (1120) tax returns
Strong background in tax planning, compliance, and tax research
Experience working directly with clients and managing relationships
Proficiency with tax software and accounting systems
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines during busy season
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
