Job Description Summary

Dauch is seeking a Plant Finance Manager to join our world-class team. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a leading company in the automotive industry, where you will have the chance to contribute to the flawless execution of our manufacturing processes. This role located at our North Vernon plant in North Vernon, IN.

The Plant Finance Manager manages the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing, and other accounting functions for the organization. Ensuring the accounting policies and practices of the organization are followed; working closely with internal auditors, public accountants, federal tax examiners, and other financial professionals; ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization. Overseeing and evaluating the activities of the accounting staff, and providing for their professional development; analyzing and solving accounting problems. Preparing or leading preparation of reports that summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings, based on past, present, and expected operations. Producing accurate and timely financial reports, for internal and external use, in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Job Description:

  • Coordinate and administer an adequate plan for the financial control of the facility.  This includes a plan that provides profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, accounts receivable, cost standards and saving opportunities, and capital investing. 

  • Compare performance against budget and operating plan and standards.  Provide reports and interprets results to plant manager and group controller. 

  • Conduct special projects, cost studies, analyses and new business evaluations.  Provides statistics, reports and recommendations resulting in cost reductions and profit improvements.

  • Recommend, implements, and maintains compliance with all accounting policies and internal controls.

  • Responsible for the preparation of all accounting ledgers, plant reports, corporate reports, other financial reports, and related supporting detail or sub-ledger files and reports.

  • Responsible for accurate accounting classification of all expenditures, including capital and other transactions to ensure that balance sheet and income statement accounts are accurate.

  • Responsible for reviewing inventory control and reporting procedures to ensure that inventory records and manufacturing cost are accurate.

  • Responsible for contact with the Company’s independent and internal auditors and with all taxing authority auditors/personnel.

  • Responsible for local tax and treasury management at the plant level.

  • Responsible for statutory reporting and documenting all local accounting policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for managing local accounting personnel.

  • Responsible for working with the Program Management Team in completing all required IPM and other Agile tasks

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Advanced degree and or accounting certifications preferred

  • 5+ years progressive leadership experience

  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing, business, accounting and finance concepts, hardware, operating systems, Microsoft Office, HFM, Plex, Oracle and other ERP

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required, with a proven track record of advancing roles and responsibilities within the accounting and finance sectors/systems..
