Quality Technician

Summary

The Quality Technician supports daily quality and production activities in a fast-paced, customer-focused manufacturing environment. This role requires an organized, detail-oriented individual with strong computer skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure product quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality & Production Audits - Audit quality and production processes to verify compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.
  • Quality Engineering Support - Assist Quality Engineers with projects involving quality methodologies, procedures, and data analysis.
  • Data Recording & Reporting - Record, compile, and summarize audit and test results; prepare reports, graphs, and charts to identify trends.
  • Training Support - Assist with quality-related training for production personnel.
  • Material Movement - Move parts throughout the facility while maintaining accurate serial number traceability.
  • Work Instruction Maintenance - Maintain work instructions for active products and collaborate with Quality team members to ensure compliance with documented standards.
  • MRB & Scrap Transactions - Enter MRB updates, scrap transactions, and maintain MRB documentation, including part release with proper records.
  • Customer Concessions - Write and submit customer concessions and interface with customers regarding submissions.
  • Gauge R&R - Assist Quality Engineers with gauge repeatability and reproducibility studies.

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general quality practices and basic computer operations.
  • Ability to perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records and files.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to pursue ASQ Quality Technician certification.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform twisting, kneeling, and bending in a manufacturing environment.


Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
