Interstate Waste Services is the most progressive and innovative provider of solid waste and recycling services in the country! Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.:
Responsibilities Include:
- Quickly and safely inspect offsite odor complaints in a reliable manner.
- Detect the different odors and their sources in the surrounding community.
- Perform traffic control such as guiding vehicles and equipment to appropriate areas, placing signs and cones for vehicle direction
- Effective communication with drivers, employees, and management via hand held radios and CBs
- Clean up of vehicles and equipment as needed
- Fuel vehicles and equipment
- Follow OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE
- Perform other duties assigned by manager as necessary, eg janitoral support, filing paperwork.
Requirements and Qualifications::
- Valid driver’s license
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of basic GPS systems (Maps on IPhones)
- Basic data entry and record keeping.
- Conducting onsite and offsite inspections to ensure the landfill stays in compliance in regards to nuisance odors in the surrounding community.
- Light housekeeping duties onsite.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Able to work in an outdoor environment on a constant basis while being exposed to variable weather conditions, temperatures, chemicals, dust, fumes, smells, and loud noises.

Salary Range Minimum: USD $17.25/Hr. Salary Range Maximum: USD $17.25/Hr.
