Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1800 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 month within the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <35 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - First-time travelers accepted depending on experience; must have a strong Med-Surg background. - Experience reading telemetry strips. - Chest tubes, trachs, PIV starts, drains and tubes, PCA pumps, wound/dressing changes, and lab draws required. - Gtt management: Amiodarone (occasionally), Fentanyl PCA, Ketamine PCA, Dilaudid PCA, Heparin.

Unit Details: - General medicine patient population including diabetes, GI, respiratory, and renal patients. - Centralized telemetry; sign strips each shift. - Uses Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips vital sign equipment, and lifts.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Travelers will work 75% of holidays. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Floats to other MS units including 8 Reynolds, 8 North, 9 North A/B, ACE, 9 Ardmore, 10 Ardmore, and 8 North-B.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
