Full job description
In this on-site role in Arlington, Texas, you will be involved in the machining of metal and non-metallic parts by operating CNC Lathes. While experience is preferred, we will provide training to build on your existing skills and help you grow in this role.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, {3:00 PM - 11:00 PM}

What You'll Do
- Set up and operate CNC lathes 1/2" to 22" OD, including daily preventative maintenance and cleaning your workspace
- Run machining operations such as facing, threading, grooving, and drilling
- Read blueprints and route instructions to make parts to spec
- Set up machines for full production runs, from low- to high-volume parts
- Monitor part quality, maintain offsets, and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot programs and resolve machining issues
- Inspect parts accurately using precision measuring tools and GD&T requirements
- Improve setup time and keep machines running efficiently
- Communicate with supervisors, production control, and quality team members about assignments and nonconformance issues
- Record issues and updates to support smooth shift handoffs
- Follow safety rules and wear required PPE throughout the shift
- Complete daily preventive maintenance checks
What You'll Bring - Requirements
- Knowledge of all required measuring tools such as OD and ID micrometers, depth micrometers, and gauges
- Shop math skills
- Strong knowledge of machining practices, materials, general mechanical knowledge
- Knowledge of metals, part-holding fixtures, and lathe tooling
- Ready to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment in response to customers' needs
- Willingness to learn and be trained
- Team-focused, positive attitude
- Strong work ethic
- Reliable- report on time, meet deadlines, produce quality output
- Ability to follow machining steps and procedures
- Basic English skills to follow instructions and complete logs and reports (spoken and written)
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and position heavy parts safely
- Follow the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies
- Ready to stand for entire shift and work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment
Considered a Plus!
- Experience with Okuma, HAAS, Mazak, and Mori lathes
