Quality Engineer or Technician, Flash Welding Process

Barkhamsted, CT | Full-Time | $75,000 to $80,000 per year

Get trained to lead a new flash welding process and own its quality from day one.

Must-Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing quality engineering, quality technology, or inspection
  • Excellent recordkeeping and strong part traceability skills
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
  • Skilled with inspection and measuring equipment
  • Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and perform flash welding
  • Ability to work independently within established procedures

What You'll Do

  • Complete flash welding training and lead the process day to day
  • Maintain accurate processing records, part identification, and inspection results for full traceability
  • Coordinate with the quality team and a sister division on part status and delivery
  • Train and support welding operators, and maintain work instructions
  • Perform flash welding for process development, improvement, or backup coverage
  • Monitor results, spot variation, and drive corrective actions
  • Support inspection, nonconformance review, and root cause analysis under the Quality Manager

Nice-to-Haves

  • Technical training or degree in quality, manufacturing, or engineering
  • Experience with welding or joining processes
  • Prior flash welding experience (training provided)
  • Background in process development and continuous improvement

Compensation and Benefits

  • $75,000 to $80,000 base salary
