Job Description:

Overview: If you have an aptitude for numbers and have a desire to be a problem solver using operational and financial data at the world's largest retailer, then this co-op is the right one for you! You will be working in the Corporate Internal Audit department. This co-op is a great opportunity to gain experience in a financial and operational audit environment. You can bring your enthusiasm, desire to learn, and analytical skills and learn about the audit side of the business.

This co-op will build your understanding of auditing fundamentals and apply these to real-life applications. As part of the Corporate Internal Audit team, you will gain exposure to audits of statutory, quarterly, and year-end financial statements. The co-op will also participate in various operational projects that will develop your audit skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify possible causes or contributing factors relating to problems
  • Coordinate tentative solutions with a senior audit staff member and secure approval for investigation, analyses and testing of solutions
  • Analyze results
  • Recommend the best approach for improvement
  • Prepare audit memos detailing findings and recommendations and assist in the presentation of audit findings and recommendations to corporate and divisional management personnel

This position has a starting pay range of $24 to $25 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
