Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System.

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to take own patient assignment, with the support of an RN. Blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, start/maintaining IVs. High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, trach care/management. Feeding tube care/management, heparin protocols, pacemakers/temp/perm, telemetry-on-the-unit monitoring. Use of rapid response/code teams, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, MS/Tele, ortho trauma, total joint replacements, surgical drains.

Special Requests: RTO, block, and special scheduling requests must be submitted upon submission.

Unit Details: Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow and complex long term patients. Adult and geriatric patient population. Medical patients including COPD exacerbations, infections, failure to thrive, and social issues.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.

Floating Requirements: Float to MedSurg within skillset.

Maximum consecutive days off: 10

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 2 years
