Full job description
Our client, a dynamic organization in the food production industry, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounts Payable team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and effective communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Madison, WI
Pay Range: $21/hr - $23/hr
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
What's the Job?
- Manage all aspects of the accounts payable process across multiple entities and brands
- Receive, review, and process vendor invoices ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Code invoices correctly and match them with purchase orders or contracts
- Resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders promptly
- Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of high-volume AP experience
- Experience in ERP systems (NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
