Compensation: $43.14 - $63.41 per hour(Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.)

As the Assistant Nurse Manager at Glens Falls Hospital Intensive Care Unit, you will partner directly with the Nurse Manager to lead day-to-day operations. In this role, you will act as a pivotal clinical mentor for ICU RNs, coordinating complex care pathways in a fast paced environment. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is staffed and equipped to provide highly skilled interdisciplinary services to patients requiring complex and intensive nursing care interventions for life-threatening conditions. Your leadership, partnered with the Nurse Manager, ensures our patients receive the highest standard of compassionate, evidence-based care close to home.

How You Will Lead (Responsibilities)
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily clinic workflows, optimize inpatient monitoring, and manage shift staffing levels.
  • Clinical Mentorship: Act as an expert clinical resource, providing clinical supervision and ensuring evidence-based competencies are met.
  • People & Team Development: Coach and inspire nursing staff, conducting timely, growth-focused performance evaluations.
  • Continuous Quality Improvement : Drive specific Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, input clinical data for policy revisions, and assist with service budget prep.
  • Inclusive Leadership: Champion an environment that values diverse perspectives, ensuring language and actions promote workplace inclusivity.

What You Bring (Qualifications)
  • Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical RN experience required; background in intensive care, progressive care, or previous charge/leadership experience is highly preferred.
  • Licensure : Active Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
  • Certifications : BLS certification required.
  • Core Skills : Exceptional communication, interdisciplinary conflict resolution, and the ability to organize and delegate effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
