ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for a Full-Time, 40 hours a week CT Technologist I Northern Float.

Primary Locations:

  • Concord, Foulk, Stoney Batter, Health Care Center, and Cancer Center.

Shift:

  • 7:30am - 4:00pm and 7:45a.m - 4:15pm

Primary Function:
• The primary function is performance of all phases of CT Scan Testing. Work is performed on outpatients in accordance with established procedures and protocols of the department and under the direction of the Radiologist.
• Perform other diagnostic imaging exams as skills permit.
• Perform clerical and scheduling duties as needed.


Principle Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of CT Scanner Units, radiology supported computer systems and CD Burners.
• Performs CT procedures and quality control as defined by department guidelines.
• Maintains compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in ACR and state licenses. Complies with Joint Commission regulations.
• Completes all technical assigned imaging and non-imaging procedures in the designated scheduled times.
• Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care systems.
• Assist with the coordination of workflow and patient care activities.
• Obtain clinical history regarding reason for examination and obtains appropriate consent.
• Verifies insurance pre-authorization as defined by departmental protocols prior to scanning patient.
• Maintains patient confidentially.
• Uses 2 patient identifiers at all times.
• Assists in the learning process of students and new staff in department procedures, quality control, and radiation safety.

Education and Experience:
• Completion of ARRT registry in radiologic technology required (two-year accredited program).
• Completion of ARRT registry in CT scan required (achieved within two years of hire).
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required.
• Completion of formal and/or on the job training on cross sectional anatomy.
• An Associate’s degree is required; candidates are required to obtain their Associates of Science degree (can be substituted within a related field), within three (3) years of their start date as outlined in the Education
Agreement required to be signed as a condition of employment.
• Certification in CPR.
• Yearly PEEPS certification required for proper and safe positioning and transfer of patients.
• Completion of IV training course.

Special Requirements:
• State Licensure on Radiation Protection is required.
• The successful completion of the CT Registry exam is a job requirement. A technologist, who is recruited and non-certified, will have a grace period of 2 years following hire to pass this exam.
• Completion of IV training course.

This position pays between $38.13 and $52.43 based on experience.

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
